We are the El Salvadorian Sport federation that has athletes most identified by values that characterize expertise. We have the best class sailboats and our athletes are so well prepared that we are considered rivals in the Americas. Sailing regattas are nationally celebrated by Salvadorians. Our universities have very competitive sailing teams. Our juniors team is the American champion. Sailing talk is common and understood by all. The majority of people who navigate the country’s lakes, lagoons, and Pacific Ocean have ample access to know and practice the culture of sailing.
Mission
- Make the Salvadorean Sailing Federation a self sustainable entity that is efficient and transparent in the management of its resources and funds
- Be publically recognized for the quality of sporting and recreational events we develop and organize, acknowledged by our efforts to bring the highest level of training to our athletes and to have the best boats by sailing class.
- By bringing the sport of sailing to all bodies of water in El Salvador, achieve a prosperous sailing culture that is accessible to everyone.
- Be nationally and internationally recognized as an established and respected competitive sailing federation.
- Teach the craft of sailboat making to the fishing communities so that they can build and repair their own sailboats, and use the craft as a means of income.
